Pre-Primary Wing

Pre- Nursery to KG (Age 02 to 05)

Once a child is born, the mother is the best teacher as well as a guide. She is the first influence, providing her child with love and security. If we look back to what we learned from our mothers, there are so many things that it may be impossible to pen down all of them. TWGS has a crystal-clear concept for MOTHER TEACHER who helps students to acquire knowledge, competence, or virtue. Understanding the child and developing support between the learner and the teacher. Helps in a better understanding of the various development stages of the child especially cognitive and emotional. An insight into the child's behavioural problems observed by the teacher. Therefore, TWGS has Mother Teachers Concept in all the classes of the Pre-Primary wing from Pre-Nursery to Class II supported by an assistant teacher and a governess.

Celebrations

Festival celebrations at preschool help the children to understand the importance of bonding together, sharing joys and celebrating happiness with togetherness. It also takes into account celebrations of days in formal schools like Sports Day, Annual Day, Mela festivals etc. Acknowledging or celebrating holidays in early childhood programs can bring pleasure to many families, staff, and children and can be useful in building connections between school and families. Learning about other holidays helps children expand their cultural world. It's important children understand and express their own family traditions and beliefs, but the holiday season can be a great time to encourage exploration of other cultural traditions and beliefs. Apart from classroom activities.

We also celebrate festivals and events in order to familiarize the child with our country's culture and traditions. Such celebrations will bring children closer to our traditions and cultural beliefs. A close bond is built between children as they understand each other's customs. Celebration provides a warm and nurturing environment, which supports the developing child in reaching his or her full potential. The program encourages a family-centered partnership facilitating a comfortable transition from home to school and strengthening the positive interactions between parents and child.

Assessments

Assessment is an on while doing specific activities. The aim is to enable each child to reach his/her full potential. This can sometimes highlight some difficulties that the child may be experiencing within the classroom.
Assessment in early childhood education is a comprehensive framework that helps in evaluating a student's present level of knowledge and skills. This framework benefits the student as the teacher can design a curriculum suited to a learner's needs and thereafter derive a suitable learning progression.
Assessment plays an important role in the process of learning and motivation. Well-designed assessment methods provide valuable information about student learning. They tell us what students learnt, how well they learnt it, and where they struggled.
The purpose of assessment in primary schools is to provide information on the performance of a child at a point in time (e.g testing) or over the school year (report card template). The results are used to plan on going learning and whole school.

Sports

Sports experiences help building positive self- esteem in children. In addition, participating in sports can be a helpful way of reducing stress and increasing feelings of physical and mental well-being, as well as fighting against juvenile delinquency, conflict and aggressive outbursts.
Participation in sports allows kids to make lasting friendships, develop communication skills, feel a sense of community and learn to respect their teammates and coaches. Even athletes in individual sports learn to work as a team with their coach and make lasting friendships with others in their sport. Sport teaches us development. It helps us learn things such as resilience, leadership, accountability, respect and patience. Lessons that sports teach us can help us develop as players and all round good people too.

Asking WHYs spark investigation and critical thinking. Talking about how seasons change while walking outdoors or different colours that make picture books nurtures their brain and prepare them for real life.

STEAM education is an approach which integrates science, technology, engineering, art and maths in teaching and learning. Studies have found that teaching an integrated approach widens students thinking, problem solving and cognitive skills. At TWGS various science hands on experiments are being shown to students and students are encouraged to think about WHYs and HOWs of the experiment conducted, foster group discussion which strengthens their communication skills and foster creativity.
