Library
A school library is a store house of knowledge 

Information is the heartbeat of meaningful learning in schools. At TWGS libraries we strive to create a learning environment that empowers students to connect with, engage with and utilize information in meaningful and purposeful ways. Fundamental to this learning environment is the development of a school wide information service where learners have opportunities to access multiple sources and forms of information and the appropriate technologies to do so.

The superbly well stocked library houses a vast collection of books, journals, periodical, newspapers, digital sources, resources and services on a wide range of topics. The endeavor is on inculcating the reading habits in children, giving a free rein to their imagination and minds in comfortable and conducive ambience. The Reference Sections supports the curriculum and beyond. The advanced digital library and an E-library Section is the response to need of the times expanding the horizons of all learning beyond limits.There is Campus-wide broadband E-connectivity with Wi-Fi for anywhere anytime computer learning. All students have supervised access. There is a Hi-Tech E-Library where students have access to online encyclopedias and reference material in addition to a wide gamut of books & magazines.

Why Library 

The library is the 'heart of the school'. School libraries play an active and leading role in the educational process, where it helps pupils’ continue education effectively so they can learn by themselves. School libraries bear the slogan “Learn how to teach yourself and search for information”. School library is the primary centre for good citizenship. It is the foundation for university education and specialized learning. Every child with an average intelligence and ability starts taking keen interest in knowing things with curiosity and right through the schooling period s/he on the way to acquire knowledge and enrich his/her faculties. It is therefore essential to familiarize with the library, which would provide them quality – reading materials. We can say that an excellent educational programm cannot be developed without the provision and support of a well- planned school library.

Objective of TWGS Library

  • Develop Confidence in accessing and using the Library and information Resources .

  • Familiarize with the information resources and information skills.

  • Equip & Prepare Students with information skills for example, online searching skills, the right choice of library resources & also prepare them to avoid being caught in information explosion .

  • Determine the scope of information needs.

  • Have adequate access to the required information .

  • Critically evaluate the quality of information and performance.

  • Use information effectively and efficiently.

  • Collaborate and communicate information and responsibly

SCHOOL LIBRARY NORMS​

  1. Students are required to maintain silence inside the library and make a conducive environment for reading

  2. Students are expected to take care of the library books. Writing or marking on a book is strictly forbidden. Damages/loss of books while in possession of the student will have to be compensated with double cost of the book by the student in whose name the book has been issued.

  3. Reference books, Encyclopedias, magazines and periodicals are to be read only in the library and will not be issued.

  4. Books will be issued for one week only. If a students fails to return the books on time without a valid reason, the borrowing facility will be withdrawn for four weeks. Fine Rs. 5/- per day collected by after 1 week, the book will be reissued on the wish of the Librarian and only after producing the book.

  5. Books must be returned before the examinations and holidays.

  6. When leaving the school, please clear all the dues payable to the library and return the books issued to you and also obtain "No dues certificate”from the librarian.
